No one ever talks about it but yeah…the fact that a lot of young female Disney channel stars end up having a “bad girl phase” after they leave is not a coincidence. I’m pretty sure it has something to do with Disney forcing them to adopt the personalities of the characters they’re playing, not allowing them to explore their own individuality, and then feeling as though they have no purpose outside of Disney Channel.
It probably doesn’t help that if they were on a really popular show, they are followed around by paparazzi and any “rebellious” thing they do is blasted on tabloids.
